Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area (where the Grateful Dead meets Silicon Valley, and we debate Cal vs. Stanford rivalries over the world's best sourdough), I've spent 32 wonderful years in education—from teaching tiny humans their ABCs to mentoring college students at Saint Mary's College. Plot twist: all that time teaching people to decode words led me to my true calling—helping people decode themselves!

You might have spotted my book "Name, Claim & Reframe: Your Path to a Well-Lived Life" on the TODAY Show (yes, I'm still pinching myself) as 2023's best motivational read. In it, I challenge folks to ditch their metaphorical armor—you know, the kind that's way less cool than medieval chainmail but somehow even heavier to carry around.

As a self-proclaimed "warrior in recovery" (spoiler alert: the only battles I fight now are with my inner critic), I've developed the NCR Toolkit-Name, Claim and Reframe® methodology. Think of it as GPS for the soul—much more reliable than those car navigation systems that send you into lakes.

My journey from reading specialist to transformational coach wasn't exactly a straight line (more like a Jackson Pollock painting), but it taught me something crucial: life's biggest shifts often start with listening to your heart's inconvenient but persistent whispers. Or in my case, sometimes more like loud knocking!

When I'm not helping my amazing clients step into their power (cape optional but encouraged), you'll find me adventuring with my husband of 36 years (yes, we still like each other!), soaking up time with our grown kids, or hiking with our Labrador, Maggie—who, by the way, is the only one who truly appreciates my early morning energy.

With an M.Ed. in Reading Leadership from UC Berkeley and certification as an ICF-Professional Coach, I bring both brain and heart to my work. Think of it as academic rigor meets intuitive wisdom, with a dash of "let's make this transformation thing actually fun!"
